Disaster Behavioral Health Preparedness and Response Resource Guide

September 24, 2021

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) compiled an amalgam of resources for disaster preparedness and recovery in the Disaster Behavioral Health Preparedness and Response Resource Guide. This resource guide provides available publications and information to learn about the behavioral health impact of disasters and how individuals and communities can build resilience throughout the phases of disaster recovery. Additionally, the guide promotes a SAMHSA technical assistance and training program to help behavioral health professionals plan for and respond to the mental health and substance abuse needs following a disaster.
