The National Center for Transgender Equality, Black Trans Advocacy, and National Black Justice Coalition released the 2015 U.S. Transgender Survey: Report on the Experiences of Black Respondents. This report focuses on the unique experiences, including behavioral health disparities, of the 796 survey respondents who identified as black or African-American. Nearly half (47 percent) of black respondents reported an attempted suicide during their lives.
The National Center for Transgender Equality also worked with TransLatin@ Coalition to create the Report on the Experiences of Latino/a Respondents in both English and Spanish. This report focuses on the unique experiences of the 1,473 USTS respondents who identified as Latino/a or Hispanic, highlighting disparities between the experiences of Latino/a transgender people, other USTS respondents, and the U.S. population.
